]]> “The Punisher” recently wrapped filming, and fans are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the series on Netflix. Jon Bernthal made his debut as Frank Castle in “Daredevil” season 2, but now he’ll get his chance to flex his muscles a little bit more when he takes the lead in his very own series.

Frank Castle was on a warpath in “Daredevil” and he delivered his violent brand of justice to quite a few criminals throughout Hell’s Kitchen. Fans were happy to see a brutal version of The Punisher on the small screen, but on thing fans didn’t see in “Daredevil” season 2 was Frank Castle in his full Punisher costume.

However, some new photos showing Jon Bernthal in his full costume have surfaced online, and they look absolutely epic. Check them out below.

As of this writing Marvel has yet to announced a release date for “The Punisher” but the series is expected to hit Netflix before the end of 2017. But let’s hope that this series hits Netflix sooner rather than later.

]]> It’s probably going to be a while before we ever see The Punisher and Spider-Man cross paths. But behind closed doors it’s already happened. Jon Bernthal recently spoke to the New York Daily News and he told them that he and Tom Holland teamed up to make their Marvel audition tapes.

“We were making tapes from Ireland in the process of getting him cast in Spider-Man and then he and I made a tape for The Punisher. During this independent movie that we did in Ireland we were constantly making tapes for Marvel — just acting together.”

It’s pretty awesome to know that Bernthal and Holland teamed up to make some tapes. But as Jon Bernthal pointed out, we’re not likely to see those tapes anytime soon.

“These tapes definitely do exist,” he added, “you can call Marvel and ask for it, but that’s like breaking into Fort Knox.”

We all know how Marvel likes their secrets, so it’s likely that those tapes are somewhere very safe. All we can hope for is that maybe Marvel will be generous enough to release them someday.

You can catch Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in “Captain America: Civil War” on May 5, 2016 and you can see Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in action when “Daredevil” season 2 premieres on Netflix on March 18.
