TV Line is reporting that John Barrowman has been cast as a series regular on all of the DC shows on the CW. The deal is being compared to the deal that Wentworth Miller signed to appear as Captain Cold on “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow.”

“What it really emulates to us is the comic books themselves, where there really are a cast of characters,” Greg Berlanti said when asked about Wentworth Miller’s deal back in May. “In success, we hope to continue with other characters finding their way across all the shows.”

Now that “Supergirl” has joined the fray that means the CW now has four DC shows on their network. It’s already been confirmed that all four shows will be crossing over at some point so it should be interesting to see how Malcolm Merlyn factors in to each show.
