Everyone seems thrilled about the idea of Harley Quinn joining the “Gotham” cast, and that includes Poison Ivy actress Maggie Geha. Maggie recently spoke out about the possibility of Harley making an appearance on the show and she loves the idea.

“I would love, love, love, love to see Harley Quinn,” Geha confessed to IGN. “In the comics she and Ivy and Harley Quinn are very close. In fact, I’m pretty sure in the comics they just formally announced that they’re girlfriends. Just as an actor I would love it for them to bring Harley Quinn onto the show. I would love that. I hope they do one day. That would be great. It would be so much fun for me.”

In “Gotham” season three we will be seeing a much more evolved version of Poison Ivy as it was revealed in the official synopsis that Ivy has been “reborn” after an encounter with a monster from Indian Hill.

“Gotham” will return for season three on September 19th.

Mad Hatter will be played by Benedict Samuel who played one of The Wolves last season on “The Walking Dead.” The official description for the character reads as follows:

“Jervis Tetch is a talented hypnotist teetering on the edge of madness. He arrives in Gotham with an unwavering desire to find his sister, Alice, a young woman who went missing in the city years ago. It is anyone’s guess just how far down the rabbit hole he’s willing to go in order to find her.”

Benedict Samuel’s Mad Hatter will be a recurring character in season 3 of “Gotham” and he’ll make his first appearance in the third episode of the new season.

A synopsis for “Gotham” season 3 reveals how the age difference between Maggie and previous actress will be explained. According to the synopsis Ivy will encounter a monster from Indian Hill which will cause her to be reborn. You can read the full synopsis below.

GOTHAM (Mondays, 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) The origin story continues on Season Three of GOTHAM, and the stakes are higher than ever, as Super-Villains more ambitious and depraved are introduced, and a realignment of alliances shakes up the fight for power in Gotham City. Season Three will peel back the curtain on the infamous criminal organization known as the Court of The Owls. With the Indian Hill escapees on the loose, JIM GORDON (Ben McKenzie) must take matters into his own hands as a bounty hunter in Gotham. He makes it his mission to find HUGO STRANGE (guest star BD Wong), the mastermind behind the horrifying Indian Hill experiments, and FISH MOONEY (guest star Jada Pinkett Smith), one of Strange’s subjects. “Gotham” is just one of several comic book shows that was recently picked up for a new season. The CW confirmed last week that “Arrow,” “The Flash” and “Legends of Tomorrow” will all be returning. CBS confirmed “Supergirl” is getting a second season and ABC also announced “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is getting a fourth season.

Zap2it.com is reporting that Kristen Hager from “Being Human” will be playing Nora Fries in “Gotham.” The character description reads as follows:

“Thanks to her smarts, sincerity and a lighthearted sensibility, she’s the only person who’s managed to connect with the otherwise emotionally cold cryogenicist.”

Kristen Hager reportedly began shooting her first episode of the show on October 29th, so look for Nora Fries to make debut sooner than later.

Playing a crazy doctor isn’t a stretch for Wong as Henry Wu was somewhat of a sociopath and obsessed with his work in “Jurassic World.” Sounds like BD Wong as well as Hugo Strange will be a welcome addition to the series.
