During a recent appearance at Wizard World in Pittsburgh, Cox once again told fans that he would to see the show bring Bullseye into the mix.

“It’s no secret, I’ve said it before and I get in trouble every time I say it, I’d like to see Bullseye make an appearance at some point,” Cox said via ScreenGeek.net. “I think it’s a really interesting opportunity. Deborah Ann Woll obviously does not want Bullseye to show up for obvious reasons. Elodie Yung, who plays Elektra, doesn’t want Bullseye to show up either.”

Bullseye was one of the villains in the 2003 “Daredevil” film which starred Ben Affleck. He was played by Colin Farrell, but that film has since been almost universally panned by fans and critics.

Prior to “Daredevil” season 2, it was rumored that Marvel was talking to Jason Statham about stepping into the role. However, shortly after the rumor hit the internet, Statham shot it down, and talked some serious trash about the superhero genre. So, it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing him play Bullseye anytime soon.

“What we do know is at the end of this year we’re going to be making The Defenders and, of course, Daredevil is very much a part of that foursome. I have no idea what the storyline is going to be for that show. I’m very excited to see how those world’s combine… and interested to see tonally how those shows become one.” Cox said via The Independent.

Well, that’s certainly good news. If the series starts filming at the end of this year then that means it will likely hit Netflix in 2017. Season 2 of “Daredevil” was released last month and it’s been receiving rave reviews. Shortly after the release of season 1 last year, Marvel and Netflix announced that “Daredevil” would return for season 2. But Charlie Cox says he hasn’t heard anything about whether or not the show will be getting a third season.

“We don’t know if there’s going to be a season three. I certainly don’t know.” Cox told reporters.

He also added that he’s not sure if any of the storylines from “Daredevil” will come into play in The Defenders series. Looks like we’ll just have to wait and see.

“Luke Cage” is the next member of The Defender who will be getting his own series and the show will premiere on Netflix September 30th. “Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones” are available now.

“You know the first season of a television show you get to spend a lot of time meeting the characters and setting the relationships and the dynamics. You can kind of ease your way into the plot. In the second season you don’t get that luxury, so you have to really get cracking very, very quickly. One of the things the showrunners did which I thought was really smart, was they almost flipped on its head the format of last season to this season. Last season Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk didn’t even meet until episode 9. This year Matt and Frank meet in the first episode.” Charlie Cox told IGN.

He goes on to say that Matt has absolved himself of his catholic guilt and he’s now having more fun as Daredevil. He says this time around Matt Murdock will be a little more arrogant and have a certain swagger.
