]]> “Deadpool 2” is all the rage right now because fans have been waiting a long time for the film to move forward and now it seems like it’s finally happening. After months of rumors and speculation, it was recently announced that Josh Brolin will be playing Cable in the film, and it looks like Brolin is diving into the role head first.

Cable has been confirmed for the film, Domino has been confirmed for the film, and both Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead have also been confirmed for the sequel. Now yet another character has been confirmed for the movie as Blackfilm.com is reporting that Leslie Uggams will be reprising her role as Blind Al.

Blind Al was Deadpool’s roommate in the first film and she was without a doubt one of the funniest characters in the movie. Ryan Reynolds and Leslie Uggams obviously have great chemistry together, so it will be fun to see them interact once again in “Deadpool 2.”

Production on the film is expected to start sometime over the next few months, and although no official release date has been announced for “Deadpool 2” the film is expected to arrive in theaters next year.

]]> After months of speculation and rumors, the rumors were finally put to rest last week when it was revealed that Josh Brolin will be playing Cable in “Deadpool 2.” Josh Brolin is certainly no stranger to Marvel films, as he’s also the man who plays Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It looks like Josh Brolin will be pulling double duty for a while, but he seems more than up for the task. Brolin is already getting busy as he prepares to become Cable, and he recently shared a few behind the scenes photos showing off the process he needs to go through in order to become the character.

It’s likely that the prosthetic mold will be used to create the scar on Cable’s face, but either way, it’s a good thing Josh Brolin is a patient man, because this looks like it was a rough process.

Deadpool and Cable creator Rob Liefeld recently shared a sketch online showing what Josh Brolin might look like as Cable, and you can see what he came up with below.

]]> “Deadpool 2” is expected to be released in 2018, but the film still needs a new director before production can get started. Tim Miller directed “Deadpool” but he dropped out of the sequel due to creative differences with Ryan Reynolds and company. Shortly after the news hit the internet it was reported that one of the things Reynolds and Miller clashed on was the casting of Cable.

There are several actors out there who are lobbying for the role such as Ron Perlman, Stephen Lang, and even Dolph Lundgren threw his name out there. It was also rumored at one point that Kyle Chandler was being eyed for the role. However, Fox has yet to make any sort of official announcement in regards to who will be playing Cable.

Although fans may have to wait a while to see Cable on the big screen, they don’t have to wait any longer to see the character come to life on the small screen. K&K Productions has released a video of a fan film they put together called “Cable: Chronicles of Hope” and it’s here to make the wait a little easier.

Cable and Hope Summers travel through time only to be attacked by Purifiers when they arrive in the past. From there it’s all out action as they battle their foes, and Nightcrawler enters the video to make the save.

It’s short but for a fan film it’s pretty impressive, and captures a good tone for a possible X-Men movie or series. The fan film also features appearances from Bishop, and the Blackbird. Check it out below.

]]> FOX wasted no time confirming Cable for “Deadpool 2.” Deadpool himself announced that Cable would be joining the cast for the sequel in the credits scene of his own movie, and fans around the world rejoiced.

As soon as it was revealed that Cable would be a part of “Deadpool 2” several actors made it well known that they would love to step up and bring Cable to life on the big screen.

Ron Perlman, Stephen Lang and Dolph Lundgren were just a few of the names that pitched themselves for the role, but so far no casting announcements have been made.

The sequel is set to start filming early next year so it seems likely that a casting announcement for Cable will be made sooner rather than later. There’s been a lot of speculation in regards to who will get the high profile role, and during a recent episode of Meet The Movie Press a new name entered the mix.

Mashable.com’s Jeff Sneider revealed a rumor, and noted that this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, but he said that Kyle Chandler’s name has been floating around the film for months.

Kyle Chandler has an extensive resume, and has appeared in movies such as “Super 8” and “The Wolf of Wall Street.” Chandler is also known for his work on the TV show “Friday Night Lights” and his performance on the Netflix series “Bloodline.”

It’s also rumored that Mackenzie Davis is up for the role of Domino and it’s said that Domino is a scene stealer. Davis played Mindy Park in “The Martian” last year and she is also one of the stars of “Halt and Catch Fire” on AMC.

]]> SPOILERS FOR “DEADPOOL” AHEAD

The weekend isn’t even over yet and people are already talking about the “Deadpool” sequel. That’s mostly thanks to the awesome post-credits scene featured in the film which confirms that Cable will be joining the cast of characters next time around.

Deadpool made the big announcement himself during the post-credits scene but he also noted that as of right now they have no idea who’s going to play him. Well at least one actor is campaigning for the role pretty hard on social media and that actor is Steven Lang.

“Let’s lay some CABLE. You know I want it. This is pre-training. Thanks for spreading the word.” Lang posted on Twitter.

He’s also retweeting positive messages from fans who also want to see him in the role. Many fans have posted pictures of Lang side by side with Cable and one thing’s for sure, he certainly looks the part.
