EW has revealed that Patton Oswalt will be reprising his role as Koenig brothers Sam and Billy in an episode that’s set to air on January 31 which will be titled “Hot Potato Soup.” The Koenig brothers are somewhat mysterious entities on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” but it sounds like we’ll be learning some new and interesting information about them when Oswalt returns.

“Patton Oswalt returns as the Koenigs, and we finally reveal their family secret,” producers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen revealed to EW.

As for how and why the Koenigs will be returning, it looks like Phil Coulson and company will be swooping in to make the save when the brothers are hunted down by someone who is trying to get their hands on the Darkhold.

The first half of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” season 4 focused on the Robbie Reyes incarnation of Ghost Rider, but now that his story arc has wrapped up the series has moved on to Life Model Decoys.

Could the family secret behind the Koenigs be that they themselves are actually Life Model Decoys? We’ll find out on January 31.

Instead a new director, Jeffrey Mace, has stepped in and he’s got his eye on Coulson. Although they seem to be getting along for now, some cracks in their relationship are starting to show. Coulson likes to keep secrets from the new director, and Jeffrey doesn’t like that.

Daisy has been on the run, and through her travels she met Ghost Rider, who eventually came into contact with Coulson and friends. Coulson and the rest of the gang are working outside the lines by affiliating themselves with Daisy, and Ghost Rider and that’s only created more tension between our friend Phil and Mr. Mace.

Marvel has released a new clip from next week’s episode titled “The Good Samaritan” and in the clip Jeffrey and Phil talk all things Star Wars. There’s a little Han Solo talk, a few references to Rebels and the Empire, and a little bit more sprinkled into the conversation. Check it out below.

Next week’s episode will also reveal how Robbie Reyes came to be Ghost Rider. The official synopsis reads as follows:

Gabriel Luna will be playing Robbie Reyes on the show and Chloe Bennet recently spoke to IGN about what it’s been like for Ghost Rider to be a part of the show so far.

“It’s exciting! I was curious. It is always a little scary and you want everything to work well, but Gabriel is wonderful and fits in perfectly with the cast and I’m excited to see where they go with it. All the powers so far have been really rooted in something that Fitz and Simmons can always explain. I’m curious to see how they tie in a flaming head/skull on fire, and how they explain that with science.”

At the end of season 4 Daisy had gone rogue and her former S.H.I.E.L.D. teammates were searching for her. Daisy’s powers were a big part of season 3 as she continued to develop them and Coulson tried to keep them in check.

Chloe Bennet confirmed that we will see an evolution of Daisy’s powers in season 4, but that it will come with a cost.

“Definitely. I think we see that at the end of the season with her ability to kind of leap or fly. And so she’s become even more powerful. But that doesn’t come without a cost. I think you’ll see right away the repercussions of her powers not being monitored by SHIELD and you really see how SHIELD is necessary for people with powers.”

Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will return for season 4 on ABC on Tuesday September 20th.

Season 4 of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” will continue to focus on the Inhumans and it was also introduce the character of Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider into the MCU. Marvel has released the official synopsis for the new season and it also reveals that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been legitimized again following the events of “Civil War.”

In the season 3 finale it was revealed that Coulson was no longer the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and it was recently announced that Jason O’Mara has been cast as the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D. but the identity of his character is still unknown. According to the synopsis, now that S.H.I.E.L.D. has gone legit the organization needed a new Director because everyone believes Coulson is dead. You can check out the synopsis below.

“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all new time period, Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. In the aftermath of their journey to another planet, Director Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the team were driven more than ever to put an end to the Hydra organization. Although any formal announcement regarding the film’s release date has yet to be made, Kevin Feige recently revealed to Collider that he thinks the date will likely change.

“Since we made our initial phase three announcement, we added Spider-Man, which was a big, joyous coup for us. We added Ant-Man and the Wasp, which was a big, fun continuation of that story for us. Walt Disney Company has announced an Indiana Jones film for right around that same time. So I think it will shuffle off the current date that it’s on right now. How far down it shuffles, I’m not sure yet.” Feige said.

Inhumans have been a huge part of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” for the better part of the last two seasons. But Feige also confirmed that Marvel Studios still has every intention of making an Inhumans movie, and the events that have taken place on the show haven’t done anything to change that. He told Collider that it’s not a question of “they’re already doing that on TV, we’re not doing it,” it’s a matter of “when.”

Coulson suspects that Gideon Malick has an inside man at the event and S.H.I.E.L.D. is on the hunt. But nothing ever goes smooth for S.H.I.E.L.D. and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change in next week’s episode.

The latest clip from “The Inside Man” shows Coulson in a parking garage with Talbot when they’re ambushed by Carl Creel, better known as The Absorbing Man. That’s when Agent May instructs Lincoln to make a move and Lincoln attacks using his powers. You can see if Lincoln has what it takes to bring down The Absorbing Man in the clip below.
