Whether fans like it or not, “Supergirl” season 2 will be coming to an end in a few weeks, but luckily the show will be going out with a bang. It’s already been confirmed that Tyler Hoechlin will be reprising his role as Superman in the finale, and General Zod is also set to make his debut on the show.
The finale is arguably the most anticipated “Supergirl” episode of season 2, and now the title of the episode has been unveiled.
“Supergirl” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, and he revealed that the title for the episode will be “Nevertheless, She Persisted.”
Apparently the title was inspired by Senator Elizabeth Warren’s refusal to be silenced Senator Jeff Sessions’ Attorney General confirmation debate.
“Supergirl” will return tonight with “Alex” and the season 2 finale will air on Monday, May 22.
ALEX IS KIDNAPPED – Alex (Chyler Leigh) is kidnapped and the kidnapper threatens to kill her unless Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) releases a notorious criminal from prison. Supergirl and Maggie (Floriana Lima) have always had different approaches to apprehending criminals but this time they must work together to save Alex. Meanwhile, Rhea (guest star Teri Hatcher) has an interesting proposal for Lena (Katie McGrath). Rob Greenlea directed the episode written by Eric Carrasco & Greg Baldwin (#219). Original airdate 5/1/2017.”
