“Stranger Things” is definitely all the rage this summer. The show has become a huge hit on Netflix and a pop-culture sensation thanks to its 80s setting and fun characters.
It seemed almost like a foregone conclusion that a new season would be announced, and today it was officially confirmed. “Stranger Things” season 2 will premiere on Netflix sometime in 2017. The show’s social media accounts released a video showing the episode titles and they’re listed as follows:
MADMAX
THE BOY WHO CAME BACK TO LIFE
THE PUMPKIN PATCH
THE PALACE
THE STORM
THE POLLYWOG
THE SECRET CABIN
THE BRAIN
THE LOST BROTHER
It looks like season 2 will consist of 9 episodes as opposed to the 8 episodes that made up season 1.
EW reached out to series creators the Duffer Brothers and they revealed some details about the next season. One thing that they did confirm is that the show will return to the Upside Down.
“We kinda just peeled back the curtain and revealed a tiny bit of the Upside Down. So we definitely want to explore a little bit more. There’s a lot we don’t know about the Upside Down at the end of season 1.”
