Stephen Amell has been playing Oliver Queen for a few years now, and many of Stephen’s fans know him as the Green Arrow. On TV the Green Arrow is a vigilante who constantly puts himself in harm’s way to protect Star City, but in real life, Stephen Amell is a normal person just like the rest of us. Unfortunately some fans can’t seem to separate real life from fiction.
Stephen Amell noted on Facebook that over the weekend he was approached by a fan, and the fan head butted him, then challenged him to a fight. Amell declined, and instead shook the man’s hand then walked away. He posted the following on Facebook:
“Dude came up to me yesterday… Head Butts me hard. Outta nowhere… Then says — “I want to fight the Green Arrow.” Paused, looked at him… shook his hand and said no thank you. Because I’m a father and a husband. Pretty manly if you ask me.”
Amell also posted the following photo:
Head butting a celebrity is obviously a bad call, but luckily in this situation, cooler heads prevailed. It’s a shame that some people out there can’t seem to separate reality from fiction, and it’s also important to remember that some stars might not be so forgiving to anyone trying to carry out similar acts.
In any case, “Arrow” will return on Wednesday and the next episode is titled “Vigilante.” You can check out a preview along with a synopsis below.
