With so many of the same people involved with “The Flash” and “Supergirl” it’s amazing that the two shows aren’t more intertwined. But according to Bleeding Cool, that could be changing in 2017.
On this lovely Thanksgiving day they were given a scoop from a source who claims that Supergirl will be pairing up with Team Flash likely sometime during May’s sweeps week. That is, if CBS orders the “back nine” for Supergirl which has only been commissioned for 13 episodes so far. The motivation for the crossover is that CBS reportedly wants to give “Supergirl” a ratings boost. Although the show had strong viewership for its premiere, the numbers have been dropping. The show premiered with almost 14 million viewers and viewership has since dropped by about 50% with the show drawing 7.19 million viewers this week.
There are obviously many possibilities for the writers to play with now that “The Flash” has introduced the multiverse so it should be interesting to see how this plays out. What do you guys think, do you want to see the two shows crossover?
