I mean shoot Transformers and the new TMNT got sequels and they’re crap. The first movie was a 10x better than those 2 movie franchises first. It also did a great job building up a new mythos for the franchise and I believe the potential is there to really make a great movie franchise. Come on, if history is proof, the sequel to the original makes the movie franchise. It was true with Empire Strikes Back and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn, hell even Sam Raimi did amazing with both the Evil Dead 2 and Spider-Man 2. And let’s definitely not count out Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight.
