It’s been a busy year for Marvel fans who also happen to be Netfli subscribers. “Iron Fist” was released a few months ago, and many fans decided to binge watch “The Defenders” when it was released back in August. One character who fans were hoping to see in “The Defenders” was Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, but he didn’t end up making an appearance.

Luckily fans will be seeing a lot more of Frank Castle when he stars in his own series which is set to be released later this year. Marvel has unveiled the official synopsis for the series, and it reveals that The Punisher will find himself wrapped up in a conspiracy.
“In Marvel’s The Punisher, after exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.”
As of this writing Marvel has yet to announce a release date for the series, so stay tuned for further updates.
