New Details On The Villain For The Flash-Supergirl Musical Crossover Episode

Crossovers are all the rage right now on the CW, and it seems that the DC TV show crossovers just keep getting better and better. Back in December the four way “Invasion!” crossover aired to rave reviews, and later this year “The Flash” and “Supergirl” will be crossing over for a musical episode.

When the musical crossover episode was first announced last summer, fans started speculating that Music Meister would be the villain, and Music Meister has now been confirmed for the crossover.

“It is going to be the Music Meister,” executive producer Greg Berlanti revealed at the Television Critics Association’s press tour on Sunday. “We’re finishing writing the script this weekend.”

Neil Patrick Harris voiced the character in the animated “Batman: The Brave and the Bold” but according to Berlanti they haven’t gone through the casting process yet.

It’s not known whether the episode will be comprised of entirely cover songs, or a mix of covers and originals, but Berlanti also noted that the episode will have a big impact on “The Flash” and “Supergirl” moving forward.

“When we get to the musical episode, both Barry and Kara will find themselves at pivotal crossroads on their respective series,” Kreisberg says. “The experience of going through the musical will have a great impact on both series moving forward.”

“Supergirl” will return with new episodes on January 23 and “The Flash” will return on January 24.
