For months now everyone’s been talking about “Deadpool 2” and who will be playing Cable in the film. There have been a lot of rumors circulating regarding who will get the coveted role, and names such as Pierce Brosnan, David Harbour, Michael Shannon and even Brad Pitt have been churning through the rumor mill.
Well, we can put all the rumors to rest, because THR reports that Josh Brolin will be playing Cable in the sequel.
Brolin’s name has not been making the rounds in regards to the Cable casting over the past few months, which is just one of the reasons why this news is pretty surprising. It’s also surprising because Josh Brolin is also attached to the Marvel Cinematic Universe where he plays Thanos who will have a big role in “Avengers: Infinity War.”
According to the report, Josh Brolin has signed on for four movies, so it looks like the studio has big plans for Cable.
In addition to “Deadpool 2” Fox is also expected to make a third Deadpool movie and a X-Force film.
As of right now “Deadpool 2” doesn’t have an official release date, but now that Cable has been cast production will likely start sometime over the next few months.
