Grant Gustin Teases A Dark And Confusing Cliffhanger For The Flash Season Finale

This week’s episode of “The Flash” ended with Clifford DeVoe moving one step closer to enlightening the world, and next week Team Flash will do their best to take him down in the season finale.

Fans who are hoping to see everything get wrapped up nicely are in for some surprises, as it’s been confirmed that this year’s finale will feature two cliffhangers.

Grant Gustin shared some details about the finale with EW, and he said that one of the cliffhangers is “the most exciting” the show has ever done, but he also teased that the other is “dark and confusing.”

“When I say confusing, it’s more like, in Flash world you just desperately want to know, ‘What does this mean?’ The first one gets you really excited about what’s to come, then the second one probably is going to make your stomach hurt, and want the next season immediately.”

It’s safe to say that one of the cliffhangers will likely deal with the mystery girl fans have been seeing throughout season 4.

“You get the question answered as to who she is,” executive producer Todd Helbing recently teased. “There’s actually an extra little bonus where something happens where you’ll realize exactly how she’ll play a part in the future.”

As far as the “dark and confusing” cliffhanger goes, it’s anyone’s guess at this point, but it sounds like the finale will end in a way that will leave the fans wanting more.

“The Flash” season finale will air on the CW on Tuesday.
