We’re getting dangerously close to May, which means “Arrow” season 5 will be coming to an end sooner than later. Season 5 has been very intense so far thanks to the addition of Adrian Chase, and this year’s finale will be unlike anything “Arrow” fans have seen before.
Star City won’t be getting destroyed this year, as Prometheus is much more of a personal villain. However, executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently spoke to EW and revealed that we’ll be seeing some returning characters in the finale.
“We’re not going to destroy the city,” EP Marc Guggenheim teases. “We’re not even going to threaten the city. In fact, I can also tell you the finale doesn’t even take place in the city. Finally, the citizens of Star City can breathe easily in May. You can expect a good number of returning characters, characters you haven’t seen in a while, back in the episode.”
Who could be returning? Well, we haven’t seen all that much of Thea in season 5, and when we have seen her, she’s been mostly wearing a suit, but not the super kind. So, that’s always a possibility.
Roy Harper is also a character that fans have been hoping to see return. Katie Cassidy’s Black Siren is also currently hanging out on Earth-1.
Of course fans have been hoping to see the return of Deathstroke for quite some time, and Manu Bennett has already confirmed he’s interested in returning.
The other thing to take into consideration here is that it’s already been confirmed that the season 5 finale will match up with the beginning of the very first episode, which means we might be seeing some new scenes of Oliver Queen’s homecoming. So we could potentially see some characters in flashbacks that are now dead in the present.
This is all just speculation, but one way or another, we’ll be seeing some familiar faces on “Arrow” in May.
