In the world of comic book movies and TV shows, it’s not uncommon for actors and actresses to play multiple roles in multiple different properties. Ryan Reynolds made the jump from Green Lantern to Deadpool, Chris Evans traded the Human Torch for Captain America, and now an alumni of “The Flash” is leaving Central City for Gotham.
EW is reporting that Peyton List has joined the cast of “Gotham” and she’ll be playing Poison Ivy. List has appeared on “The Flash” several times as Golden Glider, aka Lisa Snart, Leonard Snart’s sister.
Peyton List will be the third actress to play Ivy on the show following Claire Foley and Maggie Geha. The producers issued the following statement regarding the change:
“In the continuing evolution of Poison Ivy’s origin story, Ivy Pepper has been transformed once again taking another step toward becoming the Ivy we know from the comics. Dangerous. A live wire of crazy energy. She’ll set her sights on Gotham, intent on making the city her own green paradise.”
List is expected to make her debut on the series in 2018.
