Every season of “The Flash” has had a surprise reveal for the big bad, and season 3 is no exception. For months now fans have been dying to find out who Savitar is, and the members of Team Flash have been trying their best to prevent him from killing Iris West.
Savitar has been one step ahead of Team Flash so far, and in this week’s episode the team had a confrontation with Killer Frost and she knew every word Barry was going to say before he said it. She told Barry that he and Savitar are more alike than they think.
After Cisco took down Killer Frost, Savitar rescued her and then left. Later in the episode Barry, Wally, Iris and Joe were sitting on the couch in the West family house, and Joe made a comment about how without love, they have nothing.
The comment triggered something in Barry, and he started to think about how Savitar seems to know every move before he makes it, he took off in a hurry and ran to meet Savitar in the street.
Barry told Savitar that he knows why he’s always one step ahead, and it’s because he’s lived through all of this, because he’s a future version of himself.
Savitar then took off his suit and out stepped a version of Barry who said, “it’s like I told you before, I’m the future Flash.”
Then the episode ended.
“The Flash” will return next week with “Cause and Effect.”
