The “Back to the Future” trilogy is getting a lot of attention recently and during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Christopher Lloyd said something that is sure to get fans of the franchise excited. Lloyd openly stated that he would be more than willing to reprise his role as Doc Brown if the series ever moves forward with a fourth film.

“I would love to do Doc again, no question. It’s tough to come up with an idea that contains the excitement of the original three. So it would be a real challenge for the writers to come up with an original “Back to the Future” story that has the same passion and intensity and excitement as the other three. But it could be done, you never know,” Lloyd said.

But we all know you can’t have Doc Brown without Marty McFly. When the subject of Michael J. Fox returning to the series came up, Lloyd was confident that he would be in.

“I think regardless of the Parkinson’s, he’d probably jump on the role and he’d be great,” Lloyd said.

It remains to be seen if Christopher Lloyd’s comments will spark a conversation about a fourth entry in the series, but it would be awesome to see. Luckily though we won’t have to worry about seeing an inferior reboot anytime soon as Robert Zemeckis has stated that he won’t let the franchise be rebooted as long as he’s alive. Just stay along as live as you can Mr. Zemeckis and everything will be good.
