“Supergirl” is moving to a new network in the fall as the show is set to jump from CBS to the CW for the new season. New actors will be joining the show for season 2 and one of the new actors signing on to join “Supergirl” will be Chris Wood according to TV Line.
Wood is no stranger to the CW as he’s been in shows such as “The Vampire Diaries,” “The Carrie Diaries” and “Containment.”
Not much is known about his role at this point, but it’s being reported that Chris Wood will be playing a “surprise DC Comics character.” Wood’s character will reportedly make his television debut on “Supergirl” early on in the second season.
It remains to be seen which character Chris Wood will be playing, but you can rule out Superman himself as it was already confirmed that Tyler Hoechlin will be appearing as Kal-El in the new season.
