It’s a good week for DC fans, as “Supergirl” and “The Flash” both returned to the CW, and “Arrow” is set to return on Thursday. A new show was also added to the mix this week when the “Black Lightning” series premiere aired immediately after “The Flash” and the show has been getting very positive reviews from fans and critics so far.

It seems that there was a lot of interest in “Black Lightning” as the series managed to do well in the ratings department for the premiere.

The midseason premiere of “The Flash” managed to pull 2.47 million viewers according to TV By The Numbers, and “Black Lightning” retained most of the audience as it pulled in 2.31 million viewers.

“Black Lightning” is now taking over the time slot previously occupied by DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” and the series managed to bring in the highest ratings for the time slot since the “Legends” crossover episode in November, and it was the highest rated series debut on the CW since the “Legends” season 1 premiere in January of 2016.

Only time will tell if the show is able to retain those numbers going forward, but it’s certainly off to a good start.
