“Arrow” fans were heartbroken after Damien Darhk killed Laurel Lance in season 4, because the death meant we had to say goodbye to Katie Cassidy. Luckily hearts were mended when it was announced that she will be a series regular when the show returns for season 6 in the fall.
However, Katie Cassidy is breaking hearts once again, as the star is now engaged to Matthew Rodgers. She announced her engagement on Monday via Instagram while on vacation. She posted the following:
“I can’t wait to spend forever with you my darling!! I’m the luckiest girl in the whole world. I [love] YOU to the moon and back @mattyice432. Thank you for a magical evening I will forever remember,” she added.
“We were friends at first,” Cassidy told E! News. “He surprised me during a romantic dinner and dropped to a knee! It was so perfect!”
