“Arrow” recently wrapped up season 5, and thanks to the massive cliffhanger that took place at the end of the finale, fans are left wondering who actually survived the episode. The fate of Team Arrow and company currently hangs in the balance, but one character we know we won’t be seeing in season 6, at least not in the present anyway, is Laurel Lance.

Laurel Lance was killed off in season 4 when she was murdered at the hands of Damien Darhk, and although Katie Cassidy has returned to the show as Black Siren, it looks pretty unlikely that Laurel will end up returning. Last season Laurel was honored with a Black Canary statue that Black Siren ended up destroying, and now it looks like the show could be honoring Laurel in a new way when “Arrow” returns for season 6.

“Arrow” executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared the first concept art photo from “Arrow” season 6, and it shows what appears to be a Black Canary memorial in Team Arrow’s lair.

“Arrow” will return for season 6 in October.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice.

As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).

Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family”.
