We’re finally on the fifth season of “Arrow” and as most fans know, the show was pitched as a five year origin story. However, that plan has kind of gone out the window because the show has been renewed for a sixth season.
One way or another, we know that the end of season 5 will sync up with the beginning of the first episode, but how and why Oliver returns to the island is a mystery. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently spoke to EW and he teased that Oliver won’t be the only one taking a trip to the island this season.
“I can tease that it will either be by boat or plane,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed. “I can also tease he won’t be going back alone.”
Who could possibly be going to the island with Oliver Queen? That’s a good question, but a tough one to answer at this point in time.
Right now it would seem that Talia al Ghul is the most likely candidate seeing as how she’s been training Oliver in the flashbacks and helping him to find his identity as The Hood.
As for who it will be, we’ll find out for sure as it’s already been confirmed that we’ll be seeing how the first moments of “Arrow” all came together at the end of the season.
