“Arrow” lost two series regulars in season 6, but it’s been confirmed that Colton Haynes will be returning for season 7, so fans are looking forward to seeing Roy Harper on a weekly basis once again.
When we last saw Roy Harper, he had left Star City with Thea Queen and Nyssa al Ghul on a quest to destroy the three Lazarus Pits that Malcolm Merlyn had discovered before he died.
It will be interesting to see what bring’s Roy back into the fold, but when asked if Roy Harper from Earth-2 will be joining the show, executive producer Marc Guggenheim said that’s not the case.
“I can tell you it’s absolutely our Earth’s Roy,” he says. “Colton is coming back as our one Roy Harper. We have a cool plan for Roy — now I should really get into the habit of saying the writers have a cool plan for Roy — but I think it’s premature to talk about that. I’ll let Beth [Schwartz] address that.”
With Oliver Queen in jail, and Ricardo Diaz still on the loose, it’s safe to say that Star City needs Roy Harper more than ever. So, hopefully he’ll be game to suit up again when the show returns.
“Arrow” will return for season 7 in the fall.
