Fans are still trying to process everything that happened in “Avengers: Infinity War” but soon everyone will start looking ahead to “Avengers 4” in 2019.
Over the past 10 years the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have come a long way, and so has Tony Stark’s relationship with Pepper Potts.
Gwyneth Paltrow recently opened up about Pepper’s relationship with Tony in the official “Avengers: Infinity War” magazine, and she seemingly revealed that the couple will have a child.
“Pepper and Tony have had a real long journey together,” Paltrow said via Comicbook.com. “She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they’re married, and they have a child. Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.”
If Paltrow’s comment is indeed accurate, then it may have some huge implications for “Infinity War.”
Tony and Pepper having a child would suggest not only that Pepper survived the Thanos finger snap, but also that there will be a time jump between “Infinity War” and “Avengers 4.”
It was also recently reported that Emma Furhman is set to portray an older version of Cassie Lang in “Avengers 4” which if true also seems to imply there will be a time jump.
Marvel has done a great job of keeping plot details under wraps for the next Avengers film, but one thing’s for sure, it’s going to be a long year as we wait for the next movie to be released.
