“The Flash” has featured quite a few superheroes throughout the course of three and a half seasons, but it looks like fans can expect a big game-changer in a few weeks when “Run Iris Run” airs on the CW.
The episode is set to air on March 13th, and according to the official synopsis, one of the bus metas will transfer Barry’s powers to Iris. The synopsis reads as follows:
“Team Flash confronts a new bus meta, Matthew AKA Melting Pot (guest star Leonardo Nam), with the ability to swap people’s DNA. During a battle with Team Flash, Matthew transfers Barry’s (Grant Gustin) super speed to Iris (Candice Patton). Now, with a new threat unleashed on Central City, Barry must act as the team leader while Iris takes on the mantle of superhero speedster in order to defeat their new foe.”
The CW has released a new poster showing the first look at Iris West’s suit, and you can check it out below.
However, fans shouldn’t get too excited, as it was recently confirmed via EW that Iris will only be suiting up temporarily.
“Iris West will be suiting up this season! Yes, seriously. While it’s temporary, I hear Iris will indeed suit up as a speedster in a March episode, but additional details as to how are being kept under wraps at the moment.”
