Before “Arrow” returned for season 6, a fan asked Stephen Amell to reveal the new intro for the show at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest, but he declined and say that he couldn’t because the new intro contained a huge spoiler.
Well, he was right because the status quo on “Arrow” has changed big time, because Oliver Queen has handed off the Green Arrow mantle, and now Diggle is the man in the suit. In this week’s episode of “Arrow” the new intro was finally unveiled and it reads as follows:
“My name is Oliver Queen, after 5 years in hell I returned home with only one goal, to save my city. But I couldn’t honor that commitment and honor the promise I made to the mother of my son. So, I asked the best man I know to help. His name is John Diggle, and he is the Green Arrow.”
Amell also recently confirmed that Diggle will be the Green Arrow for several episodes, but it’s safe to say that Oliver will be putting the suit back on at some point in season 6, so this likely isn’t the only intro we’ll be hearing this season.
“Arrow” will return next week with “Reversal.”
