Fans of Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” are used to seeing new episodes of the show in September, but that’s not the case this year as season 5 has been pushed back and “Inhumans” will air in its place, but new episodes are coming.
We’ll be seeing the series regulars when the new season debuts, and it looks like we’ll be seeing a familiar face from the past as well.
EW is reporting that Nick Blood is set to reprise his role as Lance Hunter in the new season. Hunter was introduced in season 2 as a mercenary who ended up joining S.H.I.E.L.D. and it was later revealed that he was previously married to Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird.
The relationship between Mockingbird and Hunter became one of the more entertaining aspects of the series, and the two characters were written off the show so that they could branch out and film their own spin-off titled Marvel’s “Most Wanted” but ABC ultimately passed on the show.
Right now details surrounding his return are being kept under wraps, and it’s not yet known what will bring Lance Hunter back to the series, or how long he’ll be sticking around for.
