“Arrow” season 6 is going to be full of surprises in regards to who did, and didn’t survive the explosion on Lian Yu in the season finale, and some big things have been teased for the new season.

Felicity has been one of the main members of Team Arrow since season 1, and without a doubt her intelligence and IT prowess is a valuable asset to the team. Things could get a whole lot bigger for Felicity in season 6, as it’s been teased that one of the things fans could see when “Arrow” returns is the emergence of Smoak Technologies.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently revealed that the writers actually tried to fit Smoak Technologies into season 5, but they nixed their plans. However, fans who have been waiting to see Smoak Technologies will be pleased with season 6.

“That was something we wanted to do last year, and then we got sort of seduced by the Helix storyline,” co-showrunner Marc Guggenheim explained to TVLine. “I would say that people wanting that storyline will be happy, but for reasons that I think will be very obvious, it can’t be called Smoak Technologies. And all those clever readers who are like, ‘That’s because she’ll be changing her last name to Queen,’ it’s not Queen Technologies, either.”

With the return of HELIX being all but confirmed, and this recent Smoak Technologies tease, it should be interesting to see what kind of role Felicity takes on in the new season.

“Arrow” will return on Thursday, October 12.

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice.

As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy).

Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family”.
