DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” recently wrapped up its second season, and “Supergirl,” “The Flash” and “Arrow” will also be wrapping up their respective seasons soon. With four DC shows on the same network, the CW just couldn’t resist the urge to do a mega crossover last year, and most fans agree that the gigantic crossover was a huge success.
The focus of the crossover was the battle against the Dominators, but a few interesting story arcs were spread throughout the event. One of the plot points that got people talking was the moment when Martin Stein and Jax showed Barry Allen a message they discovered in a secret room on the Waverider.
The message was from future Barry Allen from the year 2056 who told Rip Hunter that he altered the timeline, and he warned Rip not to trust anyone, including himself.
At the time the message was used as a plot device for other members of the “Arrowverse” to discover the changes that were made to their lives due to the creation of Flashpoint, but now that Savitar’s identity has been revealed, the message has become even more intriguing.
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently spoke to EW, and he confirmed that the message will tie into the reveal, and it will be brought up on the show soon.
“Someone does point out that suddenly that message makes a lot of sense,” EP Andrew Kreisberg says.

“The Flash” will return with “Cause And Effect” on Tuesday, May 9.
