Every day after school these costumed heroes would save the universe from whatever evil creature was trying to destroy it and everything would go back to normal right after. Did you know the Black RangerĀ is actually missing a finger? The actor Walter Emanuel Jones says he lost the finger in an accident when he was 4.

 

 

 

#9 – The Yellow Ranger Was Actually A Man

Have you ever noticed that while in the Power Ranger outfits the Pink Ranger’s outfit has a skirt while the Yellow Ranger’s doesn’t. That’s because the original Yellow Ranger was actually played by a man under the suit.

 

 

 

#8 – Billy Is The Only Character To Appear In Every Episode Of The Original Series

David Yost who played Billy, better known as the Blue Ranger is the only character to appear in all 155 episodes of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series.

 

 

#7 – Rocky Missed Out

When the show wanted to celebrate its ten year anniversary the powers that be decided they would bring back all of the red rangers from the past ten years in an episode called “Forever Red.” The only problem was, not all of them came back.

Steve Cardenas who played Rocky on the show was contacted to appear but then moved and didn’t tell anyone where he was going. Despite their best efforts, the show’s producers were unable to get in touch with him after the move which is why he didn’t appear in the episode.

 

 

 

#6 – Tommy Had The Most Color Changes

Tommy is best known as the Green Ranger and White Ranger but his Power Ranger duties didn’t end there. Throughout his time with the franchise Tommy has been the Green Ranger, White Ranger, Red Zeo Ranger, Red Turbo Ranger and Black Dino Thunder Ranger. All of the different colors have given him the prestigious honor of being the cast member with the most costume changes.

Do you recognize the voice in the video above? That’s Bryan Cranston a.k.a. Walter White a.k.a. Heisenberg. Bryan played two separate villains in the Power Rangers series which means he’s played at least 3 of the most bad ass bad guys in television history.

 

 

#3 – The Power Rangers Were So Popular They Shut Down A Freeway

The Power Rangers once shut down an 8 mile stretch on a Los Angeles freeway because so many people were coming to see them. The Power Rangers got paired up with D.A.R.E. for an event at Universal Studios Hollywood and broke the 30 year attendance record at the theme park as 35,000 people came out to meet them. We have to wonder how long those people were stuck on the freeway for.

 

 

 

#2 – Tommy Has Appeared In The Most Episodes

Jason David Frank who plays Tommy has appeared in the most episodes on the show out of all the cast members. Tommy has been in 217 episodes spanning 6 different versions of the Power Rangers.
